Women Who Lead Awards
Corinne Grandolfo is named the EWGA national winner in the “Women Who Lead” Awards. Introduced in 2009, the “Women Who Lead” Awards are designed to recognize women from across the nation who have made a difference in their chapters; currently the EWGA has nearly 20,000 members in over 120 chapters throughout the U.S. Hundreds of women were nominated in 10 different categories, with Corinne the national winner in the league category for her tremendous work as League Chair for Westchester Chapter. Congratulations Corinne!

XCEL Federal Credit Union MVP Cup Winners
Susan O’Dowd and Ann Marie Aloisi were awarded the XCEL Credit Union MVP Cup for the 2009 golf season. CEO Linda McFadden from XCEL Credit Union presented the award to our winners at the EWGA annual closing dinner, held at Sprain Lake Golf Course on Oct 24th. The EWGA–XCEL Credit Union MVP Award was created to honor the participation and volunteer efforts of the EWGA members; it was named to recognize the support of the chapter’s largest sponsor, XCEL Credit Union. In addition to having their names engraved on the trophy, the winners received a free “Classic Level” membership in the EWGA Westchester.

Shirleen Dubuque gets 2nd Hole in One at Mill River CC in Stratford, CT!
On Hole #4, a 103 yard par 3, Shirleen teed off with a Pitching Wedge. Hit it off the tee high and right, heading to the sand trap. Hit a hill above the trap on the fringe, where it rolled left across the green. The green is tiered, hole position was on the top tier. I was willing it and begging it to stop so it didn't go down that stupid hill—and then it fell in the hole! Congratulations Shirleen.
